Donavee Jeep Orange County teams up with Sunny Hills High School ROP Program for OCADA event

Over the weekend Don-A-Vee Jeep of Orange County sponsored two young high school students from the local Sunny Hills High School to compete at the 18th annual automotive technology competition.  Each year the Orange County Automobile Dealers Association (OCADA) sponsors an event where students from various high schools in Orange County compete against one another trying to fix vehicles which have been rigged with a list of problems.  The students spent time at the dealership that sponsors them to learn some hands on training via the high school's Regional Occupational Program.  OCADA goes out of its way to provide very lucrative prizes for the winners with first place taking a trip to New York to compete in the national finals on top of 10,000 to Ohio Technical College and 5,000 to well know UTI.  The second, third, and fourth place finishing teams also receive scholarships.

Don-A-Vee was lucky enough to have Moriah McPherson and Tanner Paul from Sunny Hills High School here in Orange County.  Moriah and Tanner both worked extensively with Tom Kirk, Moe Jubran, and a few others of our staff in learning the ins and outs of auto repair.  Not only did the students learn a lot here at Don-A-Vee Jeep Orange County but they came in second place in the 2 hour competition!   From all of us at Don-A-Vee Jeep Orange County we want to say congratulations to Moriah and Tanner !  We would also like to thank them for representing our dealership very well.  We look forward to continuing to sponsor students from the local schools to get them interested in automotive repair.  If you have a son or daughter who goes to school in Orange County that is interested in working with Don-A-Vee on this program next year give us a call.  We love to help out the Orange County community in every way we can.  Hopefully next year our team can hit the first place mark and really show the community that they have what it takes to fix all of our cars!  In addition, 2011 marks  50 years of community involvement in Southern California by Don-A-Vee Jeep.  We here at Don-A-Vee would like to make it 50 more!

2011 Chrysler 200 Super S Enhanced by Mopar

Chrysler 200 in Orange County

Ahead of the 2011 SEMA Show (Specialty Equipment Market Association) that comes towards the end of the year Chrysler has decided to leak a photo of one of the cars they will be showing off.   With Chrysler's new approach to marketing and showcasing vehicles they have decided to get the Internet buzzing a bit this week by purposely leaking this photo.   The base model is the 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited.    The car we are referring to is the one shown above, the 2011 Chrysler 200 Super S, which is customized by Mopar.  As Chrysler's internal performance division the Mopar team took this vehicle to the next level with a large number of additions to an already well designed car.  Some of the modifications to this car include 19 inch wheels, a black mesh grill, fog lights bezel with a custom light bar, aero sill cladding, a vented hood and Mopar Katzkin leather seats to name a few.  All of this tied into a sleek look with a black and tungsten paint scheme for the exterior of the car.  Hats off to the Mopar team for putting together this beautiful looking daily driver.
As we get more information from Chrysler and new photos come out we will be covering the Chrysler 200 in more detail.  Alongside the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee , the Chrysler 200 is going to be the two most popular models in the Chrysler Jeep line.  Both vehicles mark a slight change in what you expect from Chrysler Jeep but still staying true to their roots are well designed American made vehicles.   When it comes to domestic made cars there is no other manufacturer that combines style, class, and power like Chrysler Jeep.
Also, don't forget that you too will be able to order a Chrysler 200 from Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep of Orange County or test drive the all new Chrysler 200.   These Chrysler 200 vehicles are going to be hot items this year so do not wait to get the vehicle if you are interested in it.  Due to high demand these cars will be in limited number to each dealership to make sure all Chrysler Jeep dealerships in the country get a few to show off to their community.
