A lot of parties were involved with our event and we are very happy that everything went perfect!

We had a wonderful turn out and after a last minute decision by management our owner Stewart Benjamin decided to pay for all the food served to our loyal customers until 2:30 pm.  Stewart decided to run with the 'No Trick, Just Treats' mantra for everyone in attendance. From foot long lumpia egg rolls cooked up by Pogi Boy to pulled pork and bacon covered fries courtesy of BaconMania those who were here at 777 W Orangethorpe Ave in Placentia, CA got one awesome free meal!  Make sure you thank Stewart Benjamin if you get a chance to see him at the dealership for the free food.  Don't forget that our FOOD TRUCK OR TREAT event is an annual one so if you did not get a chance to make it this year be sure to Like Us on Facebook and book mark our blog for more details!  We are always looking for new and exciting ways to plan events in the community for everyone to enjoy in Orange County.

Here are a few pictures of the quality food served to our friends in the community by the Pogi Boy Truck, the BaconMania! truck, and a tasty cake from Rockwell Bakery at Donavee Jeep. Jeep Jamboree Event In Borrego Springs, CA October 14th and 15th 2011

The October 2011 Jeep Jamboree event took place in Borrego Springs, CA in northeast San Diego County. Borrego is a small, slow paced desert town that boasts no big box stores or a stop light for 50 miles which makes it the ideal place to take some off road vehicles for a rugged spin out in nature.  Below are a series of pictures taken by Donavee Jeep while on the trails cutting back through Borrego Springs!

Donavee Jeep Orange County was not only an event sponsor but also brought a few vehicles out to tear up the rocks and dirt with the rest of the Jeep enthusiasts in the Southern California area.   Two 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's and a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK8 Pickup Conversion made the trek from Placentia all the way out to Borrego Springs for the event.    In addition to bringing vehicles for the Jeep Jamboree  two mechanics with over 40 years between both of them working on Jeep vehicles were available  to assist fellow Jeep enthusiasts with any vehicle trouble they might have had.  One Jeep enthusiast in particular had an issue with their engine that required the mechanics from Donavee Jeep to tag team the issue.

Among those vehicles brought out by Donavee Jeep Orange County was the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK8 Pickup Conversion vehicle. Donavee Jeep's Jeek Wrangler JK8 was the first JK8 pickup conversion to test its teeth out on the rocks in Borrego Springs.  While a few other Jeep shops in America have finally put together their own Jeep Wrangler JK8 the one below is the first to get the true Jeep enthusiast once over the good old fashioned way.  What is the point of having a custom Jeep if it cannot tear up the terrain?

Donavee Jeep Orange County would like to thank Randy Stockberger and everyone else who helps organize the Jeep Jamboree events in the area.  With out Randy and his team there would not  be very many events where groups of Jeep enthusiasts can bring their four wheeling machines out to play.  For over 150 pictures of the event please visit the Donavee Jeep Facebook page and click 'Like'.

2011 Lucas Oil Off Expo Pomona Fairgrounds

On October 8th and 9th Lucas Oil’s annual Off-Road Expo was held at the Pomona Fairgrounds in Sunny Southern California in the heart of the off road racing community.  Every year all the top companies that provide parts, gear, and equipment to the off road community get their booths put together and interact with the off road enthusiasts that dominate the area.  From lift kits to campaign equipment to Jeeps to off road themed clothing anyone who was anyone in the off road racing community was there in full force at the Pomona Fairgrounds.

This was the first year that Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep of Placentia has taken part in the event.   As the only car dealership at the show Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep of Placentia was able to showcase a number of off road vehicles such at the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee shown below, the only custom Jeep Wrangler pick up conversion named just simply ‘The JK8’, and the work horse of the off road community the Jeep Wrangler. Attendees got a chance to jump in the vehicles, take photos with them, speak with  in house experts Tom Kirk and Moe Jubron about any issues they may have, and pick up some free stuff courtesy of Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep/Mopar.

A new addition to the Lucas Oil Off Road Expo this year was a pavilion that was dedicated to camping equipment that goes hand in hand with off road vehicles.  A very important but often ignored part of having off road vehicles is what happens once the vehicle climbs up to the destination and a home base needs to be established.  That is where all the wonderful vendors providing all the gear under the sun one could need in one area. Below is a photo of a bed that stands above your Jeep Grand Cherokee and uses the strength of the vehicle to support the bed similar to a box spring

Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep of Placentia would like to thank Lucas Oil, Hi-Tech Collision of Anaheim, Mopar, Xplore, and all of the off road enthusiasts who showed up at the booth!

Orange County Jeep Shoppers Will Soon Meet 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8

After being greeted by frenzied auto enthusiasts at the New York Auto Show, the 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 will roar into the showroom of Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep of Orange County this summer.   Racing from 0-60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds, Chrysler says this is the fastest Jeep ever built.

The 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 offers Orange County Jeep fans a combination of Jeep's legendary capability and utility, merged with the renowned advanced performance engineering from Chrysler Group LLC's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) team.  The SRT8 delivers an outstanding driving performance in all conditions, and is complemented by key SRT attributes – including functional, performance-oriented styling, world-class ride and handling, benchmark braking and race-inspired interior appointments.
Designed and built using the proven SRT formula that raises the performance to astonishing levels, the new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 runs from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds, 0-100-0 mph in the mid-16 second range, can cover the quarter mile in the mid-13 second range, has a top speed of 155 mph, and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet. Powering the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is Chrysler Group's all-new 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 with Fuel Saver Technology that delivers an estimated 465 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque – an improvement of 45 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. torque over the 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 it replaces.
Standard Fuel Saver Technology and a new-for-2012 active valve exhaust system allows four-cylinder operation to engage over a wider rpm range, to deliver both improved fuel efficiency – an estimated 13-percent increase on the highway – and an extended range of approximately 450 miles on one tank of gas.

Orange County Jeep enthusiasts will also appreciate the race-inspired interior of the SRT8. An all-new, leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel features a unique rim section with a flattened bottom surface – evoking a race-inspired cockpit – that showcases the SRT logo. Standard paddle-shift controls flank both sides of the new contoured palm rests while all audio and Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) controls are accessible from the horizontal spokes on the steering wheel. A power tilt and telescoping steering column also is standard.

New SRT-styled Nappa leather and suede seats, with sculpted bolsters and adjustable headrests, provide all the comfort for daily drives – and "grip" to keep the driver and passengers in place during spirited driving. The embroidered SRT logos and contrast stitching accent the two front seats. Heated (front and rear) and ventilated (front) seats are standard.

If that’s not enough for some Orange County Jeep shoppers, the available Luxury Group package adds premium leather to the door trim panels, instrument panel and center console along with a power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, Forward Collision Warning and Blind-spot Monitoring.
Cementing Jeep’s position in the automotive industry as top rated safety picks, the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 offers consumers 45 safety and security features and is already a recipient of the 2011 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 'Top Safety Pick' for the volume Grand Cherokee models.
Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep looks forward to welcoming the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 this summer.  For the latest information, call the dealership at (888) 743-8144 or visit them online at http://www.donavee.com.

Jeep Celebrates 70 Years In Pictures

One of the most celebrated brands in American history is Jeep.  The Jeep is a fine example of American engineering, ruggedness and the ability to tackle any obstacle.  The Jeep embodies the American spirit, the American worker, and of course the unmatched strength of the American military.  When people think Jeep they think of all the things mentioned above at once.  For over 70 years Jeep has been providing top of the line off road sport utility vehicles to the masses inside and outside of America. Building its foundation as the go-to vehicle for the US military in the 40s Jeep has transformed itself into not only a producer of rugged off road vehicles but also a major player in the high end luxury SUV market.  Here in Orange County Jeep is a HOT brand that gives families the ability to take trips and also pile the car with soccer gear.

This is no small feat as many car companies have completely changed their vehicles and the original direction of the manufacturer.  Jeep has managed to stay the same and evolve at the same time over the past 70 years. For this reason we would like to celebrate by high lighting the Jeep brand and the legacy in American history.

Scattered throughout this blog post are pictures of Jeep's new and old starting off with the original model used in the 40s all the way up to the very sleek and elegant 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  These pictures display not only the change in body style designs over the year but the taste of the American public when it came to domestic car building.

There is one thing about Jeep that no one can deny and that is the true versatility of the vehicle.  One minute a Jeep can be an off road vehicle used to transport troops in rough terrain the very next minute it can be used as a snow plow to help local residents in Minnesota.  In all we would like to say congratulations to Jeep for over70 years of providing great vehicles and upholding American values!  Here is to 70 more years of excellent Jeep vehicles on the road!
