Vanity Fair and Chrysler team up to promote Chrysler 300 in 2011

American auto maker Chrysler and Vanity Fair Magazine have joined forces to help promote the Oscar Nominated films of 2011, including The Fighter, starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Mark Wahlberg.

Adams recently showed up at a Vanity Fair press event, posing next to the refreshed 2011 Chrysler 300.
Stars were all smiles at the event, which went towards benefitting the charity Communities In Schools. According to the organization's website, Communities In Schools focuses on working "within the public school system, determining student needs and establishing relationships with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers, and parent and volunteer organizations to provide needed resources."

Other stars on call to support Chrysler and Vanity Fair in this endeavor included Gerard Butler and the iconic Helen Mirren. We wonder if Mr. Butler would take a trip to  Don-A-Vee Chrysler Jeep - 777 West Orangethorpe Ave. Placentia, CA 02870 to test drive a 2011 Chrysler.

The updated 300, on sale now, comes with a redesigned exterior, better mileage per gallon in both city and highway driving, and higher quality materials throughout its interior.

Orange County Tires Month, Cheap Tires In Orange County

Feb 14, 2011 – Orange County used car dealer, Don A Vee Chrysler Jeep, is offering consumers free tire rotations for life with the purchase of a set of tires from their dealership.  Consumers can also receive a free fourth tire when three tires are purchased.  Don A Vee has the most competitive prices on tires, but should consumers find a better price at another local dealer in Orange County, Don A Vee will match that price.

To maximize longevity out of new tires, the technicians at Don A Vee Chrysler Jeep recommend balancing and rotating tires every 12,000 miles (approximately every four oil changes) to ensure even tire wear and extend tread life.   There are simple tests Orange County used car drivers can perform to determine whether or not their vehicle needs a wheel alignment.

Orange County used car drivers can check for proper wheel alignment by checking their steering wheel and tire positioning. When the car is in motion, it should drive straight ahead if the driver lets go of the steering wheel.  If the car ‘pulls’ to one side or the other, most likely a wheel alignment is needed (*do not perform this test while driving at high speeds or when other cars are present).

Another way to check to see if tires need alignment is to inspect the tires for wear and tear. A car that is properly aligned will have tires that will have about the same amount of wear on the treads. If one front tire shows more tread wear than the other front tire, the driver should get an alignment.  The same test should be performed for the rear tires.

The Orange County used car service center at Don A Vee uses advanced computer technology to ensure perfect tire alignment.  Properly aligned tires last longer and also make driving the vehicle safer. Severely misaligned tires can cause damage to the vehicle and pose a serious safety risk for passengers and other vehicles on the road.

Orange County used car drivers who are unsure of whether or not they are in need of new tires can make an appointment to have their tires inspected at Don A Vee.  Now is a great time to purchase a new set of tires while the dealership is offering free tire rotations for life.

The 2011 Jeep Compass In Orange County

2011 Jeep Compass

Do you live in the Orange County area and have been eagerly anticipating the all-new 2011 Jeep Compass? Well not to worry, the 2011 Jeep Compass is ready for Orange County dealerships now. According to Jeep, "the 2011 Compass will be able to kick out up to 28 mpg highway in all-wheel drive guise, which is some of the best fuel economy in the Crossover segment."

And to go with that all-wheel drive, Jeep has given the Compass with a "Trail Rated" model for anyone wanting to put the CUV through its off-road paces.

And Jeep isn't known for placing that "Trail Rated" badge on any old vehicle, so odds are that the Freedom Drive II off road package-equipped Compass will be able to keep up with similarly capable rides from Jeep. Skid plates, tow hooks, a full-size spare, 17-inch all-terrain tires, one-inch taller ride height and low-range capability are all part of the deal.

Under the hood, Jeep offers 2011 Compass buyers with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. That produces 158 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque. There is also a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 172 hp and 165 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come with either a five-speed manual gearbox or CVT.

The 2011 Compass is available in three trim levels, all configurable with front or all-wheel drive as well as the low-range equipped off-road package.  If you are located in the Orange County area and are interested in a vehicle check out deals from Don-A-Vee Jeep Orange County

Jeep Celebrates 70 Years In Pictures

One of the most celebrated brands in American history is Jeep.  The Jeep is a fine example of American engineering, ruggedness and the ability to tackle any obstacle.  The Jeep embodies the American spirit, the American worker, and of course the unmatched strength of the American military.  When people think Jeep they think of all the things mentioned above at once.  For over 70 years Jeep has been providing top of the line off road sport utility vehicles to the masses inside and outside of America. Building its foundation as the go-to vehicle for the US military in the 40s Jeep has transformed itself into not only a producer of rugged off road vehicles but also a major player in the high end luxury SUV market.  Here in Orange County Jeep is a HOT brand that gives families the ability to take trips and also pile the car with soccer gear.

This is no small feat as many car companies have completely changed their vehicles and the original direction of the manufacturer.  Jeep has managed to stay the same and evolve at the same time over the past 70 years. For this reason we would like to celebrate by high lighting the Jeep brand and the legacy in American history.

Scattered throughout this blog post are pictures of Jeep's new and old starting off with the original model used in the 40s all the way up to the very sleek and elegant 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  These pictures display not only the change in body style designs over the year but the taste of the American public when it came to domestic car building.

There is one thing about Jeep that no one can deny and that is the true versatility of the vehicle.  One minute a Jeep can be an off road vehicle used to transport troops in rough terrain the very next minute it can be used as a snow plow to help local residents in Minnesota.  In all we would like to say congratulations to Jeep for over70 years of providing great vehicles and upholding American values!  Here is to 70 more years of excellent Jeep vehicles on the road!
